This adapter will allow the attachment of the Feather Touch Focuser to the Orion Sky Quest TM Dobsonian. If you have an XT series or plan on buying one of these user-friendly scopes you may want to consider upgrading the focuser to our Feather Touch TM. This adapter fits into the existing base and attaches with three screws. It also comes with three leveling screws (not shown) that will allow precise optical collimation. Once the adapter is installed just slip the focuser into this adapter and tighten with two set screws and you’ll be ready to go!

The focuser on any telescope is critical. If you enjoy observing and want to get the best images possible then the focuser can be as valuable as the eyepieces or the optics. Everything needs to work together as one unit. The focuser is ultimately the link between your eyes and the instrument. If the focuser works well and you’re not thinking about focusing, then you will surely enjoy the marvels of the sky much more. We should also mention that the Feather Touch is easily interchangeable to other telescopes. So if you’re ever in the market for something new, you can always transfer the focuser from your old telescope to your new telescope.
