Limited Lifetime Warranty

Starlight Instruments, Inc. warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original retail purchaser, subject to the limitations set forth herein.  Starlight Instruments, Inc. will repair or replace such product or part thereof which, upon inspection by Starlight Instruments, Inc., is found to be defective in materials or workmanship. As a condition to the obligation of Starlight Instruments, Inc. to repair or replace such product, the product must be returned to Starlight Instruments, Inc. together with satisfactory proof-of-purchase.  This warranty is not transferable.

This Limited Lifetime Warranty shall be void and of no force or effect in the event of: (a) asserted defects caused by disassembly, tampering, modification, misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance of the product; (b) asserted defects caused by accident; or (c) defects asserted by any purchaser who did not purchase the instrument from an authorized Starlight Instruments, Inc. dealer.

All returns must be accompanied by a brief description of any claimed defects, along with the name, address and daytime telephone number of the owner.  Parts or products which are replaced for which replacement is made shall become the property of Starlight Instruments, Inc.

The customer shall be responsible for all costs of transportation and insurance, both to and from the factory of Starlight Instruments, Inc.

The following items are not covered by this warranty:

1. Products which have been serviced by unauthorized persons (any person other than Starlight Instruments, Inc.).
2. Defects in finishes due to fire, moisture, salts and acids, other chemicals or polishes.
3. All other defects and deterioration due to normal usage, wear and tear, accidents, neglect, abuse, or acts of Nature.
4. Products which have altered, modified, or fitted with aftermarket or third party products which are not approved by Starlight Instruments, Inc.  (If you are not sure, feel free to contact Starlight Instruments, Inc. at the address below.)

Starlight Instruments, Inc. disclaims any warranties, express or implied, whether of merchantability or fitness for a particular use, except as expressly set forth herein.

The sole obligation of Starlight Instruments, Inc. under this limited lifetime warranty shall be to repair or replace the covered product, in accordance with the terms set forth herein.  Starlight Instruments, Inc. expressly disclaims any lost profits, general, special, indirect or consequential damages which may result from breach of any warranty, or arising out of the use or inability to use any Starlight Instruments, Inc. product.  Any warranties which are implied and which cannot be disclaimed shall be limited in duration to a term of one year from the date of original retail purchase.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Starlight Instruments, Inc. reserves the right to modify or discontinue any product, without prior notice.

There are many adjustments to the internal parts that are factory set and these should not be tampered with or adjusted by the customer.  From our experience it is unlikely that you will need service.
